Games That Help Improve Your Memory

We all lose memory of the past, some quicker than others. Playing games that your mind has to strictly focus on can help improve your memory or prevent memory issues in the long run. The brain is the most important organ in our body and we must keep it strong and our mind sharp. Here are a few games you can do to give your mind a workout.

1) Crosswords force your mind to think hard and concentrate which is good for the synapses to stay healthy and strong. People who use these develop a cognitive reserve which protects them from the impacts of dementia.

2) Sudoku is a very popular game that requires attention and focus. If you play this game every week or every day, your brain will thank you. Sudoku also delays the onset of dementia.

3) Chess has a lot of complex rules and you have to remember a lot during the game. This improves your memory, can raise your IQ and improves problem solving skills. In the long run, it can help to prevent Alzheimer's. Chess requires you to use both hemispheres of the brain.

There are many more games that you can do to improve your memory, but these are just a few good ones. Try it out, see if you can tell a difference!
