The Month of Love

There are many exciting days in February, Superbowl Sunday, Presidents Day, Mardi Gras and Groundhog Day. But, the one that stands out the most for the majority of us is Valentine's Day. It's a day of sharing love with friends, family and partners that go through life with you.

In honor of this month, we want to share with you the different kinds of love and why they all are important.

- Philia is the love of friends where you share the same values and respect for one another. This type of love is very healthy because it's considered the "safe love." Usually, you won't get hurt in these relationships because it is not romantic.

- Storge is the natural, unforced, familial love within a family. A great example of this kind is the love parents have for their children. This can also be the love between siblings and grandparents.

- Eros is the passionate love that is displayed mostly through physical affection. It is the attraction of someone else and can consist of holding hands, hugging and kissing.

- Philautia is the matter of unconditional self-acceptance. Learning this type of love is very important for yourself as a whole. You should love and accept yourself no matter what.

All these types of love are healthy and important for everyone. Take a moment to reflect on love in your life. What kind of love is it with those different relationships?

Our PRIORITY Is YOU.
